The Simple Things…Boys are Mess Magnets

I had no idea what I was getting into when I gave birth to a wiggling, peeing on the OB yet still absolutely amazing baby boy.  As I have already discussed, I always assumed I would have a girl and our lives would be filled with antique baby dolls, vintage Barbies, tutus, fairy tale books, and of course, a few messes and scrapes when she embraced her inner Tom-boy.

Nope.  Not happening here.

I have a boy and boys are mud magnets.  Now I do have to say, Kiddo is pretty well behaved and I run a tight ship around here, but there is just no way he can avoid messes.

I have learned to laugh instead of yell, to grab the camera while I catch my breath and sometimes slowly count to 10.  The mess will be cleaned up.  The memory will last forever.  Sometimes the simple things are the snapshots of life that stick with you forever…

Sometimes it’s just the simple things that keep us smiling…

Think Kiddo is the messiest kid?  I do, so I’m linking up with Jessica at Four Plus an Angel for her messiest kid contest.

That is hilarious. My son is a magnet for all things dirty. It's unbelievable how they just know how to get into the "good stuff". once my son got into butt paste and slathered it all over himself and the room. I have to admit, while I cringed at the thought of cleaning it, I grabbed my camera first!

I need to remember to go and get the camera instead of yelling at my 2 boys (my 2nd was supposed to be my girl). They are always into something. I love the mud hot tub. Great pics.
    BTW – love your blog.

Ahhh yes! The mess of boys! It is truely unbelieveable how they can take the simple things and turn them into HUGE messes. I have a picture of my second son Sweet Pea, and a tube of sunscreen. Enough said!

Like you, I try to grab my camera. Afterall, the picture can be used for blackmail later in life! HA!

Love it! My boy is only 2 but he's well on track to be a mess magnet. It's just in their nature.

    The pictures are great!

The baby powder is WOW, just Wow! I always wonder what goes through their heads when they decide to dump things all over the place. "Hmmm, I think the carpet would look better white!"
