I had no idea what I was getting into when I gave birth to a wiggling, peeing on the OB yet still absolutely amazing baby boy. As I have already discussed, I always assumed I would have a girl and our lives would be filled with antique baby dolls, vintage Barbies, tutus, fairy tale books, and of course, a few messes and scrapes when she embraced her inner Tom-boy.
Nope. Not happening here.
I have a boy and boys are mud magnets. Now I do have to say, Kiddo is pretty well behaved and I run a tight ship around here, but there is just no way he can avoid messes.
I have learned to laugh instead of yell, to grab the camera while I catch my breath and sometimes slowly count to 10. The mess will be cleaned up. The memory will last forever. Sometimes the simple things are the snapshots of life that stick with you forever…

Sometimes it’s just the simple things that keep us smiling…
Think Kiddo is the messiest kid? I do, so I’m linking up with Jessica at Four Plus an Angel for her messiest kid contest.
That is hilarious. My son is a magnet for all things dirty. It's unbelievable how they just know how to get into the "good stuff". once my son got into butt paste and slathered it all over himself and the room. I have to admit, while I cringed at the thought of cleaning it, I grabbed my camera first!
SO true! Boys are just messy. But sooo much fun too!

Ha ha! Funny how life has a way of turning out completely different from how we expected it too and then we can't even imagine it any better or any other way! I always thought I'd have a girl too. Nope. Got two mess making boys. The powder picture reminds me of when my youngest got into a whole bag of flour!

You know what? My girl is worse than my boy, but still loves her babies and Barbies all the same. Looks like you'll have a little heartbreaker on your hands!

What an adorable little boy.
I have to say, I was a mud-magnet growing up and I am a girl. I think. 🙂

I need to remember to go and get the camera instead of yelling at my 2 boys (my 2nd was supposed to be my girl). They are always into something. I love the mud hot tub. Great pics.
BTW – love your blog.

Ahhh yes! The mess of boys! It is truely unbelieveable how they can take the simple things and turn them into HUGE messes. I have a picture of my second son Sweet Pea, and a tube of sunscreen. Enough said!
Like you, I try to grab my camera. Afterall, the picture can be used for blackmail later in life! HA!

I just love this post! I wish my son got messy! He hates dirt. Watching him attempt to wash dishes last night was a hoot because even that was too dirty – sigh. Baby girl and your son would get along famously!

I LOVED this! I remember one of my mantra's when mine was small was "It will wash up."
Love it! My boy is only 2 but he's well on track to be a mess magnet. It's just in their nature.
The pictures are great!
That picture with the baby powder is priceless! He looks so sweet and innocent. Boys are dirt magnets but it's definitely a lot of fun!

The baby powder is WOW, just Wow! I always wonder what goes through their heads when they decide to dump things all over the place. "Hmmm, I think the carpet would look better white!"
Oh my gosh, just like my son! And here I was hoping he would grow out of it. Not going to happen, huh? So glad you linked up!
looks like my boys, always finding a way to be as filthy as possible
Those are pretty intense. I love the powder one. The mud tub makes me squirm a bit!!

Funny, maybe I'm really a boy. I can't go outside without looking like I rolled across the yard.
I'm so with you lady! Who knew they could be so messy?! 🙂
